First Military Conflict of the Korean War
There were no actual combatants to battle at sea. No ship-on-ship duels, no massive carrier battles, no large-scale submarine operations. The Korean War started when North Korea had a surprise attack on South Korea. This war wasn't really a war involving fights or the army. There were a few troops sent back and forth for protection and important reasons. This event was mainly a "political war" between Communist North Korea and Non-communist South Korea. At the same time, they were also trying to find a way to unite the two countries back together. The surprise attack on South Korea dragged the U.S into the war. The United Nation troops successfully fought against North Korea and kept South Korea safe from communism and future attacks. This war involve the strongest nations in the world like the U.S, China, Russia, Japan and others. This was the first war involving democracy and communism.
Implications
I believed that the Korean War, and other events, helped bring many of the nations together. The split and surprise attack of Korea dragged many nations into it. Some were for communism and most weren't. This allowed each side to work as teams try to come to an agreement. Many thought that it would be best if the two nations joined once again but as of today, South Korea and North Korea are still separate countries.
